White Laith Primary School is situated within Whinmoor in Leeds. Children and adults work together in an atmosphere of trust, respect and belonging. Uniform

School Uniform

Our school uniform helps the children to feel part of the school family, we encourage our pupils to wear their uniform with pride.

Items embroidered with the school logo can be ordered from the school. You can see these on your Parentpay account under payment items. You can also purchase from the School Uniform Shop, Harehills.

‘Active wear which is easily washed, smart and affordable.’

Uniform is very important and we expect all children to wear it with pride. It helps to engender a sense of belonging and pride in the school. When children wear their uniform they are preparing themselves for school and learning.

We want our uniform to be affordable for parents and suitable for active children. We also want our children to be clean and smart so our uniform is affordable and easy to wash.

We will not be changing for PE so it is essential that our daily uniform is appropriate for an active outdoor PE lesson in addition to being smart and comfortable for the classroom.

We also want our children - collectively - to look smart so we don’t want any variations or fashion items. Sweatshirts/hoodies must have the school logo as this will ensure we all look smart and feel like members of White Laith.

Uniform – boys and girls

Bottoms:

  • BLACK tracksuit/joggers (plain – no stripes or patterns) or

  • BLACK leggings  or

  • BLACK jogger-type shorts or cycle shorts

Tops:

  • WHITE round neck T-shirt (plain - no logos or patterns)

  • WHITE polo shirt (with or without school logo)

Sweatshirt:

  • BOTTLE GREEN sweatshirt with school logo – order from school or purchase from School Uniform Shop - Harehills

  • BOTTLE GREEN hoodie with school logo – order from school or purchase from School Uniform Shop - Harehills

Footwear:

  • Trainers – no shoes please as children will need to wear trainers for PE and playtime

Additional:

  • BLACK pumps – to wear inside (remain in school)

  • BOOK BAGS will be provided free of charge (there will be a cost for replacement)

Children will not be changing for PE so do not need to bring any additional items into school to change into.

Children should wear trainers to school so that they always have footwear that is suitable for active play and PE – shoes are not suitable.

In winter (or on wet days) if children walk to school in boots or wellies they must bring trainers into school too as they may need to wear them for PE that day.

We have looked online at popular supermarkets and clothes stores and have found that our uniform is easily available at a reasonable price.
