Author visit to KS2.

Daniel Ingram-Brown, author of the Firebird Chronicles, came to school on Thursday to talk to us about his stories. He read excepts from the Nemesis Charm and also an extract from the 3rd book which will be published next year.

We also thought about what a nemesis is and identified features of 'monster/evil' characters in traditional and modern stories. We compared their characteristics with those of the hero. We dressed up as some of these evil characters before sharing ideas to create our own monster. While Daniel signed books we all wrote a letter to our monster character - we will be re-drafting and editing these in class.

We really enjoyed our morning and we all were inspired to write!
