Mississippi's fantastic trip to The Grand Theatre

Last week, Mississippi class visited The Grand Theatre to take part in a Victorian Workshop. We started off by having a tour of the theatre which was really interesting. Did you know that the theatre only took 13 months to build?! We thought that was incredible! We then learned about different acts that performed at the City Varieties and we did some drama in the role of these performers. Finally, we looked at some Victorian artefacts (as you can see in the picture) and then got into the role of a Victorian Child. We all agreed that we are very lucky because in the Victorian times, children had to work and were often very badly treated.
