Mother's Day Daffodils
Nicola Sheerin
“If this is what the next generation are doing, there’s hope for us yet.”
This was just one of the many comments we received during our annual Mother’s Day Daffodils event. Children in Yangtze class (year 2) gave out 1000 daffodils to shoppers in Tesco this morning. It was wonderful to see how a small act of kindness made people smile and we hope the children will remember this important lesson in the future.
Here are just two of the many emails we have received:
Can I just say thank you so much. After a really upsetting morning I was handed a daffodil by one of your pupil, a lovely little girl with a big smile wishing me a happy mothers day. Can I thank you all at White Laith for making my day.
Thankyou for the mother's day flower. The young boy who gave my wife a daffodil this morning in Tesco Seacroft needs to be congratulated on his politeness. He is a credit to your school and staff..
