Ukulele Club!
Nicola Sheerin
Our first ukulele lesson was a great success!
We have learned the names of the different parts of the ukulele, how to hold it and more importantly how to tune it!
We now know the names of the strings and use the phrase ‘Good Children Eat Apes’ to help us remember which is which. We also learned how to strum and can all strum in time with a steady 4. We did find it quite tricky when positioning our fingers to play our first chord (C) - we will need to practice a lot at home!
We have all been given a ukulele to keep at home so that we can practice and we will be asking our adults to help us to tune it! We are hoping to perform for the whole school before Christmas so we have a lot of hard work ahead of us - we can do it!
