How do Polar Bears keep warm?

Foundation 2 did an experiment to find out how polar bears keep warm. They put their hands in cold water and compared it to when wearing gloves and when their hands were covered in fat. They found out that the fat kept their hands warm and they could not feel the cold from the water. This fat works just the way the layer of blubber on a polar bear does. Blubber keeps animals who live in cold places warm.
