Year 3 Digital Research

Our topic this term is Rainforests and we wanted to discover more about the animals that live there. We could have asked people who might know or we could have looked for information in non fiction books but instead we learnt how to safely search the internet for websites that can tell us all about particular Rainforest animals.

We now understand that to search safely we must use a child friendly search engine. We used 'Kiddle'. We also know to check how trustworthy a website is. You do this by finding out who the author is and if they are from a reliable organisation.  Finally we learnt that you must paraphrase and never copy directly from a website.

We presented the information we found using a Purple Mash writing template and our finished work is on display for everyone to see.
