Danube’s Iron Men

In Danube, we have been busy completing observational sketches and pastel work for the front cover of our new topic book ‘The Iron Man’. As artists, we had to carefully consider the shapes and positioning of different parts of the face while we sketched. We also took our time to observe how the artist made the Iron man’s face look metallic using colour for different parts of the face and using a diagonal stroke and blending pattern with the pastels. I think you will agree these pieces are outstanding!
