We joined our KS2 friends from our Trust schools so that we could all meet Tom Palmer. We have already read lots of his books and some of us are currently reading Armistice Runner which is the book he came to talk about. We asked lots of questions and he explained where he got his ideas from and how he plans, prepares and writes his stories.

We asked him whether he had any top-tips for struggling writers. He said:

  1. Write about something you like or are interested in.

  2. Read lots!

We are now inspired to have a go at writing our own stories and one day one of us may be a best-selling author too!
