Read MoreWhen were the ancient Greeks around?
Annabel Presley
In Year 4, we wanted to find out when the ancient Greek civilisation lived. To understand how long ago it was, we made a timeline from the present day back to the time of the ancient Greeks (800-146BC). We put on the time periods and events that we learnt about in Year 1,2 and 3. We were amazed at how far back in time had to travel!
Designing water towers
Annabel Presley
After reading the book ‘The Water Tower’ in Zambezi, we designed and made our own paper water towers. We thought about the shapes we would use to make our structures as strong as possible. The strongest water tower held a tub of water for over three minutes!
Ancient Greek pottery
Annabel Presley
In Year 4, we made pinch pots using clay. We looked at a variety of ancient Greek pots, created our own key patterns and painted these onto our pots. Some of our patterns were very intricate and we needed to use a fine brush for the details.

Who is a TT Rock Star?
Michael Sheerin
On display in school is the new Times-Table Rock Star “Hall of Fame”. To make it into the Hall of Fame you must achieve the status of Rock Hero. Thirteen children have so far accomplished this amazing feat. To become a Rock Hero you must consistently answer correctly more than 60 timetable questions in 60 seconds. Who will be the next “ROCK HERO”?
