Science fun in Year 6
Poppy Brown
In Science, Mississippi class made an electroscope as part of their Electricity topic. An electroscope detects electric charge. We found out that if two objects become ‘charged’ with electricity, they move together or move apart. We charged a balloon by rubbing it against our hair/clothes and held it near a foil ball. The static electric charge from the balloon caused strips of foil to move apart. It was great fun!
