Amazon Samba Band!

We returned to Bishop Young Academy to perform in our samba band. 21 members of our class took up the offer of after-school music sessions following our taster day in February. We have worked hard with Mr. Alex to learn some really tricky rhythm patterns which accompany the keyboards (Beechwood primary), the ukuleles (Crossgates primary) and the vocals (Grange Farm primary). All 4 schools came together for a final rehearsal before performing for our parents. We were great!

We have all now been invited to join the East Leeds Music Centre which runs on Saturday mornings at John Smeaton Academy and provides music lessons - we can have 6 lessons free of charge! Mrs Sheerin is hoping that lots of us take up the offer and have a go at something new!
